EastEnders heartbreak for Kim Fox as verdict is reached

Eastenders’ Denise Fox on affair storyline

EastEnders viewers will recall a few weeks back when Kim Fox (played by Tameka Empson) crashed her brand new car into the Argee Bhajee.

However, the damage to the restaurant was the least of her worries as Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) was hurt as a result of the crash.

Despite recovering from his injuries, Kim is being prosecuted for the damage caused and endangering his life.

In upcoming scenes and on the eve of her court case, Kim has a full-blown panic attack when she’s asked to drive for a work errand.

Walking past, Denzel sees Kim is locked inside the car and panicking, and he assumes she’s having a heart attack.

Denzel makes her promise to tell Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) what happened and how she was feeling, but when it comes to the crunch, Kim doesn’t open up.

Unfortunately for Kim, her anxiety heightens and she could face more panic attacks as she prepares her case for court.

Denzel tries to help her prepare and calm her nerves, but he soon realises Kim hasn’t told Howie about her panic attack.

After suffering another attack, Kim rallies herself for court and is touched to see Howie and Denzel waiting to accompany her.

Kim’s solicitor reassures her that she has nothing to worry about but as the case goes before the judge, the verdict leaves everyone speechless.

Had Kim just been told she will do time for the accident, or has she been let off and able to return back to Walford?

Later, Kim is in turmoil after court but refuses to talk to Howie about what’s happened and attempts to cope on her own.

Worried about Kim and how she has been acting over the last couple of days, Denzel seeks help from Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) to get Kim to open up.

The concerned teens gently encourage Kim to talk about what she’s going through, reassuring her there’s no judgement or pressure.

Touched by Denzel’s love and concern, Kim agrees to seek medical help for the panic attacks that she has been having.

Could this mean Kim is leaving Walford for a period of time to get her mental health back on track?

EastEnders airs weekdays from 7:30pm on BBC One.
