EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace confirms engagement to carpenter beau with sweet snap
EastEnders star Jessie Wallace has confirmed she is engaged with a sweet snap shared on Instagram on Sunday (February 19).
The actress, 51, is best known for playing the role of fiery Kat Slater since 2000 and is now set to walk down the aisle for the first time.
The soap star and her carpenter boyfriend Justin Gallwey, 50, have known each other since they were teenagers but became more than friends around a year ago.

The sweet snap shared by Jessie featured the loved-up pair grinning from ear to ear as they stood in front of blue skies on a beach.
She added the simple caption: "My fiancé and moi," followed by a red heart emoji.
Immediately, Jessie's friends and co-stars took to the comments to share their congratulations with the newly-engaged couple.
Emma Barton, who has portrayed Honey Mitchell on the BBC soap since 2005, wrote: "Beautiful," alongside a red heart emoji.
Emmerdale's Lisa Riley couldn't contain her excitement as she penned: "CONGRATULATIONS great news."
"Congratulations darling. Happy days ahead which you deserve," gushed Mel Owen actress Tamzin Outhwaite.
Lacey Turney, who plays Jessie's on-screen cousin Stacey Slater, added two red heart emojis while Little Mo actress Kacey Ainsworth gushed: "Gorgeous congratulations you".
Jessie sparked engagement rumours a few weeks ago when she was spotted wearing an engagement ring while out shopping near her North London home.
While Jessie's on-screen character Kat Slater has been engaged and married multiple times, this will be a first for the actress who is yet to marry in real life.
In 2004, Jessie struck up an unexpected romance with policeman David Morgan after he accompanied her to court when she was facing drink driving charges.
The couple welcomed a daughter the same year but split in 2005.
She then began a relationship with catering manager Vincent Morse and the pair became engaged after three months of dating.
They were due to be married at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond but the couple called off their wedding just days before they were meant to walk down the aisle.
Jessie also dated musician Tim Arnold for more than four years between 2012 to 2016.
