EastEnders legend to front gritty new thriller Heat – with a deadly twist | The Sun

DANNY Dyer is to star in a brand new Channel 5 thriller as he leaves EastEnders.

The soap legend, 45, will play a lead role in new show Heat along with an Australian and international cast.

It will be his first role since departing the BBC soap after eight years playing pub landlord Mick Carter.

Heat will unfold to the backdrop of the looming Australian bushfire season when two families who are long-time friends, venture to a secluded home for a summer vacation.

However, secret and lies will unfold and not everyone will make it out alive.

The four-part series will begin filming in Victoria, Australia this month and the thriller will air next year.

Speaking about joining the show, Danny said: "Can’t wait to get amongst this beautiful piece of work in Australia. I’ve always been intrigued about working there."
