EastEnders Linda star says murder victim was nearly a woman as identity teased
EastEnders took an unexpected turn on Monday night as a murder mystery storyline was unveiled.
In a flash forward, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) stood over the body of a man.

The storyline has been kept top secret – and now Kellie has shared snippets of intel on the twisted storyline.
Speaking on This Morning to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Kellie explained that the six women aren't quite sure who is the murderer and who is the victim – but Kellie noted that she had a split lip which was missed by many.
Kellie also revealed some insight into the victim, but she completely shut down any theories which surround the look of the body.
She said: "Someone's dead on the floor, we had a stand-in, a body double if you like come in", and as Phil asked if the person whose body it is was the one filmed Kellie said: "No, no no."
The Linda Carter actress also teased that it nearly went in a completely different direction.
She said: "They actually made [Letitia] film it two ways, so we had a "he's dead" and a "she's dead".
Kellie explained that when she watched it live on BBC it was the first time she realised it was definitely a man that was killed at the hands of the group of six.
The actress explained that all of the six have tried to figure out who the murder victim is, but she also warned that there is likely to be multiple "red herrings" planted in the show.
While Kellie was sharing some intel on the morning show, she did confess that she doesn't think she's the murderer, adding that it would "surprise" her if she was.
The shocking storyline aired on EastEnders' 38th anniversary and the victim of the murder is expected to be revealed on Christmas Day.
There is likely to still be more to the storyline after Christmas Day as the murder becomes public knowledge – but who will have dirty hands?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm
