EastEnders' Mick jilts Janine as he demands to talk to her alone on the big day?

Janine Butcher’s (Charlie Brooks) blood runs cold in EastEnders when husband-to-be Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) solemnly requests a moment alone with her at the wedding venue.

The soap’s resident schemer is left on tenterhooks on her big day as she awaits Mick’s arrival at the venue, fearing that he won’t turn up to tie the knot, and her paranoia spirals when Ricky (Sid Owen) rocks up without the groom!

Convinced Mick is going to jilt her, Janine is devastated.

To complicate matters further, Shirley (Linda Henry) arrives to quiz Scarlett (Tabitha Byron) some more.

At this stage, Shirley’s suspicions about Janine have been raised after a series of intriguing discoveries, such as the manipulator’s secret phone calls with a man named Steve.

She also overheard Janine telling daughter Scarlett that Mick must never find out what she did. Shirley questions Scarlett about the conversation – to no avail.

But will Shirley, this time, get the evidence she so desperately craves to stop the wedding? That remains to be seen as her interrogation is interrupted by Mick, who finally shows up at the venue.

The landlord subsequently asks bride-to-be Janine to speak to her alone. Is he set to jilt her on her big day?

It’s certainly a possibility – especially given that his request comes shortly after he shares a moment with ex-wife and soulmate Linda (Kellie Bright), who offers him the opportunity to escape from a life with Janine.

Has Mick perhaps decided on a life with Linda instead of one with Janine? If so, will the truth about Janine’s devilish antics over the past year finally be exposed?
