EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy reveals 'very different new job' as she opens up about life as a mum | The Sun

EASTENDERS star Natalie Cassidy has joked that she has landed a new job.

The actress, best known for playing Sonia on the BBC soap, told her fans she was spending the night driving her daughter around and had launched Nat’s Cabs.

Sharing a video as she cooked dinner, Natalie said: “I have an announcement to make, I have a new job tonight. No, not cooking. I am a chef on all days.

“I’m very excited, it’s very different to what you are used to seeing me do. Nat's Cabs is starting tonight.

“My 12-year-old has got a party. She’s coming home from school. I’ve got to then take her back to school at half past seven, then go back and then go back to pick her up at nine o’clock. I won’t get back till half nine. About £50 worth of fuel.”

She captioned the post:  “New job alert. Nats Cabs. And so it begins with my nearly teenager… parties, discos and no cheeky red whilst cooking our dinner! She’s worth it though.”

Speaking about how life is going to get better, Natalie recently said of her character: "Let's be honest, Sonia's been a bit miserable, not only miserable but she had a lot going on.

"You've got to remember she's a nurse, she works really hard, she's got Dotty on her case all the time, Dot's not been around.

"I feel saying goodbye to Dot and having this shining beacon of light [in Reiss] come in, I feel like it's going to be a really exciting time [for Sonia].

"I can't give too much away but with the stuff I've been doing lately, I really feel you're seeing the comedic side of Sonia come back and the light.

"And I really am enjoying that because I haven't done it in a while and it feels really special."
