EastEnders sees return of Patrick Trueman as Fox family falls into chaos
Eastenders’ Denise Fox on affair storyline
EastEnders fans will be pleased to know beloved Walford character Patrick Trueman (played by Rudolph Walker) will soon be back on screens.
His comeback to the BBC soap happens just as his Albert Square family, the Foxs, begin to fall apart.
Things go from bad to worse when on the morning of her sentencing, Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) is riddled with anxiety.
Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) try to reassure her, but Kim remains insistent that she’s going to end up in prison.
Privately, Howie tells Denise they can’t afford counselling for Kim, but she desperately needs it.
Denise hands over £500 from her and Jack Branning’s (Scott Maslen) joint account to fund the sessions for her sister.
When Jack sees the money is missing, he hits the roof.
At court, a nervous Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) gives his statement but when the prosecution plays footage of the accident, Kim has a full-blown panic attack.
Patrick arrives home to discover what’s been going on and discovers Denise’s marriage is hanging by a thread.
Patrick is shocked no one told him and is evasive when Denise asks about his time with Yolande (Angela Wynter).
Upon hearing that Jack and Denise are in dire straits, Patrick offers counsel to the distraught husband.
He advises Jack to show Denise how much he loves her.

Jack arrives at Fox and Hair with a picnic lunch and bottle of prosecco to surprise Denise and force her to take a much-needed break.
The salon owner is touched by her husband’s efforts.
Later, it’s Howie’s birthday and he’s thrilled when Jack and Denise arrive with a special present.
He then arrives home to a surprise family party with all the Fox-Brannings in attendance.
Will Kim be released following the trial? And how will Denise and Jack work through their long-standing issues?
EastEnders continues on Wednesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
