Emmerdale baby twist as Kim Tate questions Gabby Thomas over pregnancy test

Emmerdale: Kim confronts Will and Caleb

Emmerdale’s Kim Tate (played by Claire King) jumps to a huge conclusion next week when she finds a pregnancy test in the bin at Home Farm.

Spoilers released for forthcoming episodes of the ITV soap reveal she immediately assumes it’s Gabby Thomas’ (Rosie Bentham) and confronts her.

Her reaction comes from concern for the mother of her grandson Thomas, as she genuinely believes Gabby could be pregnant with her scheming ex-fiancé Nicky Milligan’s (Lewis Cope) child.

However, it turns out that the businesswoman is completely barking up the wrong tree.

Given that Kim’s stepdaughter Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has been very sickly, it soon becomes obvious she is the owner of the pregnancy test.

As Dawn confirms this is indeed the case, her husband Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) is delighted by the news and keen to celebrate.

The couple hit a rocky patch last year when Dawn admitted the timing wasn’t right for them to have a child of their own, so to get this news a year later is very welcome.

They also had to contend with serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) crashing their wedding on Valentine’s Day.

She gave a horrified Billy a choice as to whether she should shoot Dawn or him dead.

After such stressful times, everyone seems overjoyed for the parents to be except for Gabby.

Still devastated by Nicky’s betrayal, the jilted star finds it hard to see anyone else happy.

Nicky used Gabby as part of his devious plan to help his father Caleb Milligan (William Ash) attempt to steal back the Home Farm estate.

He tricked her into falling in love with him and even went so far as to propose to her.

However, moments before the wedding, he announced he not only didn’t love her, but that he is in fact gay.

To add insult to injury he had a boyfriend, Ally (Josh Horrocks), the entire time they were together.

She has been constantly reminded of the betrayal as the father and son decided to stay in the village despite the chaos they have caused.

Can she move past her own heartache to be happy for Dawn and Billy?

Emmerdale is on ITV at 7pm Monday to Friday.
