Emmerdale Cain Dingle murder in pipeline as Jeff Hordley worries for his ITV job
Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley has teased a killer twist for his character Cain Dingle after yet another fake-out.
At the end of this year’s 50th anniversary month, Cain was convicted and plead guilty to the murder of Al Chapman after a brutal shooting ended in Al lying dead in the barn.
But it was later revealed that Cain’s son Kyle had been the one to pull the trigger after getting in the middle of his dad’s argument.

Cain has never actually taken a life – something actor Jeff is “thankful” for, as it means his job is more likely to be safe, and villains are never secure for long in Soapland.
Speaking to Daily Star, Jeff said: “There’s always the potential, I think, with the nature of the character. Fortunately that’s not happened yet.
"That’s the thing, there’s only a few characters in the soap world who kill people and are still there. You have to get your comeuppance.
"But because of the nature of Cain’s DNA, I think there’s always potential for that to happen."
When Jeff heard that it wasn't Cain, but his 10-year-old son Kyle who pulled the trigger, he thanked soap bosses for saving him from a potential axe.
He confessed: "They said, 'Anyway, you shoot Al', and I was like, 'Oh my god, I've finally killed someone?'
"Then they went, 'But it's Kyle', and I thought, 'Yes! Thank you!' I thought, well, he's all right, isn't he? That's the truth."
But there's another threat for Jeff to contend with, as Cain's younger – and more successful – brother is set to join the soap.
Cain's brother Caleb will be played by Will Ash, Jeff's old school pal.

But the actor confessed he worried he was being "replaced" on the soap.
Speaking to Daily Star and other press, he said: "Initially, I'll be honest I thought, 'They're bringing in a younger Dingle, what are they doing that for? Are they trying to replace me?'
"Because you always get a little bit protective about your character when they bring in a similar character.
"But then when I found out it was Will, I thought, 'This is the best thing that could have happened'."
Speaking of how Cain is currently coping behind bars, Jeff added: "He’s not coping very well, because he wants to protect Kyle and he’s worried the secret’s going to get out and Kyle’s going to end up inside.
"That's the one thing he wants to protect him from most, so he’s not coping well at all."
