Sonia left in shock by weird lodger Jed's behaviour in EastEnders

This week in EastEnders, Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) met her new lodger, Jed.

The idea was suggested by Reiss (Jonny Freeman) after Sonia discovered that she now owes a huge amount of inheritance tax on the property – money she just doesn’t have.

Because Reiss is an awkward and shy fellow, his suggestion of a lodger was to try and make Sonia offer him the chance to live in Walford.

Sadly, that hasn’t been the case. Sonia has welcomed Jed to Albert Square, Reiss isn’t exactly keen on him and well, as next week’s episodes play out, we discover he’s a little peculiar.

After setting up a community text group, Jed proves an instant success with the other residents.

Feeling jealous, Reiss heads to Sonia’s to front out the situation, but is shocked by what he sees.

As the week continues, Sonia struggles to find the right moment to let Jed know that his time as her lodger is up.

Fortunately, Reiss manages to find a way to evict Jed from Sonia’s home, but what’s next for them both?

We know Reiss will eventually turn out to be Sonia’s new love interest, is this the start of the romance storyline?

Here’s hoping.
