Emmerdale fans react with horror and after gruesome Harriet and Sam death scenes
Emmerdale fans were left simply stunned and horrified at last night’s instalment of the ITV soap.
As the 50th anniversary episodes continued, yesterday saw the continuation of the terrifying storm that had arrived over the village.
We picked up the drama right where we left off, seeing an unconscious Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) and Kim (Claire King) in the middle of the woods after a lightning bolt struck Harriet’s quad and knocked them backwards.
When Kim came round, she assessed Harriet’s injuries and knew it was already too late.
She got up, walked away and headed back to Home Farm, knowing Harriet was very close to death.
As Kim updated Will (Dean Andrews), Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and Billy (Jay Kontzle) on Harriet’s situation, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper), Nate (Jurell Carter) and Sam (James Hooton) were up at Moira’s (Natalie J Robb) farm.
To their shock, Belle, Nate and Sam realised the barn protecting Moira’s cows had broken – and they were heading straight for them.
As the cows raced down the path, the characters were left to try and save themselves – and it was Sam who ended up paying the biggest price out of the three.
Sam had been impaled on a tractor blade during his attempt at fleeing the heard – and when we say impaled oh boy, do we mean it.
Right now, we don’t know what Sam’s future looks like and for the Emmerdale fans watching last night’s episode, they cannot wait to see the ordeal continue later this evening.
‘Oh for the love of god not Sam!!’, one Twitter fan said.
OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOT SAM !!! #emmerdale

Will be after midnight when I get a chance to watch tomorrow’s Emmerdale, so not ideal considering Sam’s life is hanging in the balance, it’ll just be a longer wait to know his fate#Emmerdale #Emmerdale50 #SOS #SaveOurSam
Elsewhere, there was sadness among the Emmerdale audience as they said goodbye to Harriet Finch.
‘Shame about Harriet, I will miss her!’, a fan admitted.

‘Goodbye Harriet. We had a cow stampede too, hoping now Sam is alright. Damn this storm!’.
