Emmerdale fans work out what Charitys mystery caller said – and its not about Mack
As Wednesday night’s episode of Emmerdale (1 February) was left on a cliff-hanger, soap fans think they’ve worked out what’s going on with Charity Dingle.
Charity (Emma Atkins) is dating Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) in the Leeds-based show, but she doesn’t know that her beau has been unfaithful and slept with Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland).
Not only did he have a one night stand with Chloe, but she’s since revealed that she’s pregnant with Mack’s baby.
Charity doesn’t know about the pair’s illicit affair and that Mack is the father of Chloe’s unborn child, and has been supporting Chloe through her pregnancy – even allowing her to stay at her home with Mack.
But things took a turn on Wednesday night’s episode when Charity received a phone call, leaving the star looking concerned.
All Charity is heard asking is “Are you sure?” – and fans have since voiced their theories about the conversation online.
"I think charity has just got the call to say she might be pregnant! #Emmerdale,” someone suggested on Twitter, as someone else said: “#Emmerdale I think Charity's call is telling her that she is pregnant again”.
Echoing similar sentiments, another Emmerdale fan added: “Surely it’s too obvious for charity to find out about the baby that way? Next week Sarah is the first one to find out and she collapses due to not being able to breathe! The only people that know about the baby are obv Mack, Chloe and Nate??”
Meanwhile, others suggested that someone has told Charity that Chloe’s baby is Mack’s.
One person speculated: “Oh, oh. Has someone grassed Mack to Charity? #Emmerdale”.
“OMGGG what's the phone call about does charity know about the baby #emmerdale,” added another.
Someone else shared: "Ooo wondering who's told charity #Emmerdale."
The call comes as Charity’s granddaughter Sarah Sugden, Debbie Dingles’ daughter, overheard a conversation between Mack and Chloe where he shared his plans to tell Charity their secret.
But, just as Mack prepared to tell everything to Charity, Sarah came down the stairs, struggling to breathe and Charity instructed him to call an ambulance as the teenager hyperventilated.
Later, at the hospital, Charity fears the worst – believing Sarah could be dying – given her medical history as a guilty Mackenzie supports her.
Was Wednesday night’s call Sarah calling to tell Charity everything?
Emmerdale continues weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX.
