Emmerdale Marlon Dingle ‘died in Rhona’s arms’ as fans twig huge wedding tragedy

Emmerdale fans are certain Marlon Dingle has died in a huge twist after his wedding to Rhona Goskirk.

Marlon exchanged vows with the love of his life and mother of his child in an emotional ceremony on Thursday (August 11), which saw him finally able to walk after suffering a stroke.

He’d been planning to surprise his fiancée after gruelling physio sessions, but battled a last-minute setback when his blood pressure skyrocketed and he was rushed to hospital.

Thankfully he made it back in time to greet Rhona at the altar, and the pair happily exchanged their vows with the village’s eyes on them, before retiring home where Marlon rested his head on Rhona.

But some fans are concerned that he took his last breaths in the poignant come-down from the wedding.

Taking to Facebook, one worried fan penned: “So scared that Marlon has now died in Rhona’s arms!” with a crying emoji.

Another agreed: “I was thinking the same thing,” as a third said: “I was thinking that… he’s supposed to be leaving, or so I read.”

“Hope Marlon ain’t just died!” someone else posted, while another social media user fretted: “Just finished watching… Marlon’s just asleep, isn’t he? Not dead!”

However, others are certain they caught the Dingle breathing, as one theorised: “He has just had a stroke and that was a busy day for a healthy person. I doubt he slept much in hospital as well.”

“I said same but probably tired out!” another posted, as a third fan argued: “He’s not leaving the soap so can’t see him dying!”

Meanwhile, others shared their worries that Faith Dingle could die in her son Cain’s arms after they shared a dance at the wedding amid a years-long feud.

Faith was diagnosed with terminal cancer several months prior, and when an Elvis song began playing some viewers were sure it heralded the end of the Dingle matriarch.

One penned: “I actually thought Faith was going to die in Cain’s arms – very emotional episode tonight but loved every second!” as someone else said: “Me too, I rang my mum and said, ‘Mum she’s going to die!’ and they were playing Elvis, I was so sure.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV.
