Emmerdale shock as Chloe Harris goes into labour – but fans spot blunder

Emmerdale fans were left utterly puzzled as while there was drama in the Dales when Chloe Harris unexpectedly went into labour, many couldn't ignore an obvious blunder on the ITV soap.

The character is now preparing to give birth on Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd's highly-anticipated wedding day, but many were under the impression she still had a couple of months to go in her pregnancy.

Fans flocked to Twitter in dismay as they worked out that the soap may have made a slight gaffe in trying to make sure that Charity and Mack's nuptials go off with many hitches, rather than without one at all.

In a bid to increase the drama in the Dales ahead of the annual super stunt week in October, bosses could have decided to speed up the pregnancy ever so slightly to make sure there's a possibility Charity discovers the horrifying truth in her white dress.

Teenager Chloe is excitedly expecting her first child, but in a classic soap twist, the father of the baby is none other than Mack himself.

It happened when the duo had a one night stand while Mack was still in a relationship with Charity.

And what's more, the scamming couple, who got arrested during the latest instalment, had only just sadly lost their own baby.

Struggling to cope with the pain of the loss, Mack made a bad decision and ended up in bed with Chloe one night.

But while many fans have speculated that Charity would finally learn the truth about her husband-to-be during her wedding, no one was prepared for it to potentially occur as a result of Chloe going into labour.

During the latest episode, the anxious teen realised her waters had broken, prompting Matty Barton to rush his pal to hospital and frantically try to get in contact with Amy, who is Chloe's birthing partner.

But instead of worrying about Chloe, many viewers were trying to do the maths and understand why it seemed the character was giving birth two months early.

"Is Chloe's baby even due yet? I thought she had another couple of months to go!! But I knew it would come around the time of Mack & Charity's wedding," one person commented.

Another fan wondered: "Didn’t she only just have her 20-week scan like 2 weeks ago?"

"so excited for charity to find out the truth it feels like it's been a long time coming! can't wait for her and mac to be over #emmerdale," a third person shared.

While a fourth viewer posted: "How can Chloe be going into labour already?!"

Mack actor Lawrence Robb teased fans earlier this year that things will "explode" when the secret finally comes out.

"He’s been stuck in that dilemma for quite some time and there’s always been things that have prevented him from doing so [telling the truth]," he explained. "I think he’s juggling all of that all the while keeping his huge big secret under wraps.

"It will come to a point where it all explodes. It always does."
