Emmerdale spoilers confirm Cathy diagnosis bombshell as Bob prepares for worst

Emmerdale's Cathy Hope has been putting her father Bob under intense strain as she continues to act of character.

But next week, Bob will finally receive some answers from Manpreet and Wendy who will provide a reason for his daughter's erratic change in behaviour.

Following Cathy's manic episode which saw her being rushed to hospital the week before, Bernice and Wendy do their best to support Bob during his daughter’s plight.

Trying to get to the root of Cathy's problems, Manpreet and Wendy soon make a breakthrough in diagnosing the cause of her symptoms, although the implications leave them both feeling rather concerned.

Later on Manpreet tells Bob that Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder might be the cause of Cathy’s suffering.

Eavesdropping on their conversation, Cathy is stunned to hear it could affect her for decades to come.

Making a difficult decision, Bob decides not to tell Cathy this hypothetical diagnosis until it can be confirmed.

Despite wanting to keep everything on the low for the time being, Cathy walks in explaining she’s heard it all.

When Bob tries his best to tell her they’ll get through it, broken-hearted Cathy isn’t ready to listen to what he has to say.

Following their conversation, Bob is left searching for Cathy who has disappeared.

When Bob eventually finds her, he does his best to reassure her, determined to support his daughter through anything that could be coming her way.
