Emmerdale summer spoilers see Faye exposed, Nicky bombshell and double return

Emmerdale's Executive Producer Jane Hudson has revealed everything fans can expect over the next few months, with drama reaching new heights in the Dales.

She confirmed Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) will finally learn the truth about her fiancé Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), claiming it will all come out "very soon".

Despite the huge the revelations of Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) being the father of Nicky (Lewis Cope) and the son of Frank Tate (Norman Bowler), there are more secrets yet to be revealed that will have major repercussions on many characters.

Jane revealed Kim Tate (Claire King) will learn about Caleb's true identity before October, while fans will learn more about Nicky when a face from his past arrives in the village and threatens his relationship with Gabby.

Meanwhile Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb's flourishing relationship could be shattered when Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) faces the consequences of Caleb's impulsive actions.

Jane also revealed Mary's romance with Faye is set to take a devastating turn when her true identity is exposed and Mary is left heartbroken.

Elsewhere, there is another special episode based around Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), while fans will get to see Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and another character in a way they've never seen them before.

Jane also teased two possible weddings, one of which will occur before the end of summer and will prompt the return of a character that fans will be "absolutely delighted" with.

Speaking to Daily Star and other press, Jane explained: "There's Charity, Chloe and Mackenzie. We all know there's a big secret that is due to come out which is he's got a baby and it's Chloe's. So the question is when is it gonna come out?

"It is soon, very soon," she confirmed. "There's a big choice for Mack. Does he want to be a dad or does he want to be a husband, and can he be both or not? And how is Charity gonna respond?"

When asked when Caleb's true identity and motives will be revealed, Jane said: "Soon, very, very soon. There is not long to go, it will be after the coronation but before the soap week."

Confirming there are still secrets yet to be revealed regarding Caleb and Nicky, Jane added: "We have revealed who Nicky is, there is still something else to find out but I'm not going to tell you. Not all the secrets have been revealed yet.

"There is something else we are going to learn and there is going to be someone from Nicky's past who turns up as well and we will be left wondering what this means for Gabby. We know they are planning a wedding so is that going to go off?"

With rumours swirling about the identity of Nicky's mother, Jane insisted Caleb's estranged wife won't be making an appearance in the Dales just yet.

"Not right now, we haven't got plans to meet Caleb's wife at the moment. We've not planned it, but that doesn't mean it won't happen, but right now it is not on the cards," Jane explained.

She also touched upon the possible return of Tate family members, adding: "Who knows, it's the Tates and the Dingles, you never know where that family tree ends, I don't think there are any plans, but never say never with the Tates."

Teasing another explosive storyline regarding Cain and Caleb, Jane continued: "Meanwhile, how is Cain going to react when Caleb nearly sends Moira into financial ruin, which is a whole other story that's playing out.

"So when Cain finds out his brother is responsible, how on Earth is it gonna play out when they are trying so hard to have this relationship? Is it all going to be doomed?"

Sharing an update on Mary and Faye's budding romance, Jane said: "It's Mary's first relationship since coming out and she's been very vulnerable, she's really put herself out there and unfortunately it's not going to be a happy ending and Mary is going to get her heartbroken."

"I think what's really relevant to this story is how easy it is to be scammed, how easy it is to be taken in and how easy it is for love to stop you thinking logically.

"It doesn't matter what age you are, we're all vulnerable to being tricked and being scammed and being catfished. It's a really heartbreaking story and there's such sadness."

On what else is yet to come, viewers will see another special episode involving Paddy as he continues his road to recovery after coming close to suicide.

"We have also got Paddy's continued journey to recovery. We're playing this story with real honesty and truth," Jane said.

She continued: "There is a very special episode coming up soon which is continuing that story about being a man who doesn't find it easy to talk, and the help and support that's out there. It's gonna be a poignant episode.

"We follow Paddy's journey as he tries to co-parent with Chas, navigating a new landscape. What will happen if new relationships start?

"We know that Paddy and Mandy have a history, and they have a more recent history, but is Paddy ready for a relationship and if he is, is Mandy the person to have that with?"

Liam is also taking centre stage with a storyline set to take viewers by surprise.

Jane added: "We have got a lighthearted story with Liam. There's gonna be something that will take you all by surprise. It starts off quite a fun story but at the heart of it there is something serious to come out further down the line. It's a great story, we see Liam and another character perhaps in a way we've not seen them before."

Sharing more details on the upcoming weddings, she explained: "You all know we love a summer wedding, I can tell you there is at least one more wedding coming up before the end of the summer, and we will have a familiar face returning by the end of the summer which I think fans are gonna be absolutely delighted with, as they return to the show.

"We have got plenty coming up. The returning character is coming back for one of the weddings. One of the weddings will be more traditional than Charity and Mackenzie's, there will be no A-Team wigs or vans happening."

Jane confirmed the returning face will remain in the soap "for the foreseeable".

There is more than one face making a comeback as Tom King Jr, now played by James Chase, arrives in the village and rekindles his romance with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

"Jimmy's nephew Tom will be coming back into the show and he has been living overseas for some time. He's back in England and is qualified as a vet, so I think we all know where he is gonna be working," Jane teased.

She went on to say: "Tom and Belle have a history, they see each other and rekindle things and we will be on a journey with Tom and Belle for some time as we play out stories for them."

Expanding on what is in store for Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) following the return of her ex-husband Gus Malcolm (Alan McKenna), Jane revealed the story is far from over.

"There is a long way to go with [the Rhona] story," she explained.

Jane continued: "It's one of those stories where when you think it's ended, it probably hasn't but it's a fascinating story, and I think Zoe is a brilliant actress and we always want to find the next big story, and I think that this is Rhona's next big story and one that really captivates the viewers."

Spilling on their plans for soap week which will take place in October, Jane insisted it will be "brilliant".

She said: "Traditionally it has stunt in it but we are at the very early stages [of planning]. It will be brilliant because it always is."
