Emmerdales Chloe Harris star speaks on dads revenge on Mackenzie

Emmerdale: Mack and Charity meet Chloe’s baby

Chloe Harris (played by Jessie Elland) is adjusting to life as a new mum after giving birth to Reuben on Emmerdale.

She’s warned Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) to keep his distance as she doesn’t want Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to learn the truth, but will he listen?

Chloe’s father has never been seen on the ITV soap, all viewers know is he’s “controlling” and in prison.

How will he feel when he finds out he’s a grandfather? Will he pay Chloe and Reuben a surprise visit when he’s released from prison and ask about the baby’s father?

Could he end up taking revenge on Mackenzie after learning he’s Reuben’s father following a one-night stand with Chloe?

When asked about the possibility of Chloe’s dad coming onto the scene to take revenge, Jessie told Express.co.uk: “I think that would be such an interesting avenue to explore.

“The great thing about the part of Chloe was that there was so much backstory to it.

“It would be really great to have [Chloe’s dad] on [the soap], especially now with Reuben too.”

Reuben’s health is set to take a turn for the worse in upcoming scenes when he contracts bacterial meningitis on the ITV soap which Jessie opened up about.

“She’s struggling with motherhood anyway because she’s in this isolated experience,” Jessie shared.

“She is hard on herself as well and questioning if she could have caught it sooner and if she is doing the right thing even now. It does escalate, so it escalates quite quickly actually.

“That exacerbates it as she is not allowed to be there with him, you can’t even imagine how awful that must be. She has to wait and be by herself.”

The actress added: “She’s terrified because one of the reasons she went ahead with the pregnancy and had Reuben is because she wants to have her own family and someone who is always going to be there for her.

“She’s been through the wringer in terms of family and friends. So this was her whole world and she is now beyond terrified.”

Will baby Reuben make a full recovery on the ITV soap?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
