Holly Willoughby was forced to hold back tears as she returned to This Morning after a two-week break.
The 42-year-old presenter has been away from the ITV daytime show for a couple of weeks due to an early holiday.
She appeared back on the famous blue sofa alongside Josie Gibson on Monday (June 5) morning.
Holly kicked off the programme by issuing a statement following after Phillip Schofield's decision to step back from hosting the show.
Holly was pictured in a taxi on her way to the ITV studios ahead of her comeback.
The mother of three was snapped sitting in a taxi and looking down at what appeared to be a sheet of paper filled with notes about Monday's show.
She could be seen a white dress and clutching a pen and a yellow script, suggesting she was preparing for her return to work on her drive to the This Morning studio, based in West London's White City.
It comes after her former co-host Phillip Schofield admitted to having an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger male ITV colleague while married to his wife.
Phillip has now left ITV, parted ways with his former management agency YMU and insisted he has no future in television.
It comes after Phillip revealed that he had sent Holly a text when news of his affair came out, but she didn't reply.
He told The Sun: "The last time we had a conversation was when I texted Holly and said, ‘Don’t reply’ – this was after the statement last week – ‘Don’t reply, you’re probably not allowed to, but I am deeply deeply sorry that I lied to you."
He added: "And I am. It was the one secret in our sanctuary that was never mentioned."
Holly previously admitted in a statement on Instagram that hosting This Morning "won't feel the same" without Phillip.
She wrote: "It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour."
"The sofa won’t feel the same without him."
However, she since said that Phillip's lies have been "hurtful".
