End of an era as sad exit confirmed for Moira in Emmerdale

To add to a very long list, it appears Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) will leave the Emmerdale village soon.

These scenes will air just days after Moira’s partner, Cain (Jeff Hordley) was arrested and charged after Al’s (Michael Wildman) death.

We didn’t mention Cain killing Al because, of course, we now know that isn’t true.

It was revealed that Cain is covering for his son, Kyle (Huey Quinn), who actually murdered Al during that barn showdown.

Understandably, as rumours and gossip continue to spread around the village, sticking around is something Moira isn’t keen on and during her next prison visit to Cain, it’s very clear her mind is elsewhere as she appears increasingly agitated.

Discussing her plans to leave with Isaac, Moira opens up to Cain, but he’s annoyed, convinced she should be staying put.

Back at Butlers, Moira is just about to tell Matty (Ash Palmisciano) the truth when he announces Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) has taken Kyle to Belfast.

Feeling the guilt, Moira soon updates Mack (Lawrence Robb) on her situation, and he is heartbroken to realise she is heading off for good.

The next day, Matty and Nate (Jurell Carter) discover that Moira has left for Scotland and in the prison visiting room, Mackenzie is given the responsibility of telling Cain that his partner has left – and he is furious.

As both men come to realise that it’s unlikely Moira will return anytime soon, is this the last we’ve seen of her?
