Eric kills Verity in Hollyoaks as he crushes her with a bookcase?

Verity Hutchinson (Eva O’Hara) is facing a shocking death at the hands of brother Eric Foster (Angus Castle-Doughty) in Hollyoaks, if the show’s new Winter trailer is anything to go by.

Eric, as viewers know, is a radical misogynist, and he spends most of his time voicing his disturbing opinions on an online male forum.

His behaviour has escalated in recent weeks, with him breaking into Cindy Cunningham’s home, writing misogynistic slurs on Maxine Minniver’s forehead and spiking Lizzie Chen-Williams. 

Verity, though having some knowledge of his horrific outlook on the world, is largely in the dark about her brother’s behaviour, but that’s all set to change, as teased in the new trailer.

Maxine Minniver is seen telling Verity in the preview that she know full well Eric is the one who has been spiking women in the village, and thus she makes it her mission to expose him.

The former legal secretary-in-training follows through, as she breaks into his caravan and speaks a peek at his laptop – but before she can find anything concrete, she’s interrupted!

That is the question, but Max isn’t the only one who accesses Eric’s laptop in the coming months, as Verity does so as well, and she’s in huge danger, as someone subsequently attacks her.

In shocking scenes, a bookcase is pulled down upon her – will she be okay? Or has Eric murdered his own sister to keep his secrets?
