Eve crushed as Suki makes shock decision about their future in EastEnders

Eve Unwin’s (Heather Peace) whole world fell apart in EastEnders, as Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) chose to end things between them for good.

Suki and Eve’s secret relationship became official on the day Suki had her marriage to husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) blessed.

Since then, they have been secretly meeting, and using business trips to Leeds as cover for them spending time together.

However, it recently became clear that living in the shadows was something neither of them were happy about, particularly Eve.

With Nish having already served time in prison for murdering someone he saw as a threat to his relationship with Suki, things got particularly tense when he discovered that only one room had been booked for their latest Leeds ‘business’ trip.

Though they managed to cover their mistake, Eve told Suki that she couldn’t handle seeing her with controlling Nish anymore, and decided that she needed to do something to get him out of the way for good.

After offering to turn informant on her boss, she ran through her plan with Suki, who was horrified to learn that son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) would also end up taking the fall for the money laundering Nish had become involved in.

Despite this, Eve was still determined to go through with her plan.

While the Panesars were occupied with Nish’s birthday party at Walford East, Eve broke into their house as she attempted to gather more evidence.

However, she was caught by surprise when Vinny and Suki arrived home early, with Vinny having been upset by Nish’s blatant favouritism of son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).

As she hid behind a doorway, Eve overheard Suki explaining how much Vinny meant to her, and how it would kill her to be without him.

Following the heart to heart, Eve emerged from the shadows, admitting that, while she was desperate for them to be together, if she went ahead with the plan at Vinny’s expense then Suki would just end up hating her, and that wouldn’t be worth the risk.

Instead, she told her that Suki could take the files, but that would mean the end of their relationship for good, as Eve couldn’t stand by and watch Nish slowly destroy the woman she loves.

Tearful Suki took the papers, leaving Eve completely crushed as she left her alone in the kitchen.

Is this officially the end for Sukeve, or will they come to realise that they don’t want to be without each other?
