Evil killer Stephen in Coronation Street murders Carla in fire?
Annoyed the drugging hasn’t completely destroyed Carla Connor (Alison King) in Coronation Street, is Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) about to give up the plan and result in murdering his enemy instead?
Stephen is drugging Carla with LSD because he wants to make it seem as though she isn’t mentally stable enough to continue her role as boss of Underworld and, in turn, hopes she will step down so he can take over the position.
In true soap style, Stephen has faced multiple challenges throughout his plan to destroy Carla, most notably the fact after every single time she experiences what appears to be a psychotic episode, she comes back stronger once she’s recovered.
This part of his plot bothers Stephen next week, as he realises Carla has taken charge of another business meeting.
To get revenge, he double-doses Carla’s drink which leaves her showing signs of erratic behaviour.
After another difficult day at work, Carla feels better by the end of the week and assures Peter (Chris Gascoyne) and Stephen that it was just a blip.
However, when she goes to make a brew and ends up smashing a mug, Carla concedes that she needs another chat with Doctor Gaddas, who suggests that she takes a break and goes back on her antipsychotic drugs.
Later on, having pocketed her keys from the factory, Stephen lets himself into the flat and, checking Carla is asleep, drops her keys back in her bag before heading into the kitchen and turning on the grill.
But will anyone save Carla in time?
