Ex Love Islanders beg ITV to let them back on the show in shock twist – as Adam Collard returns | The Sun

EX Love Islanders have begged ITV to let them back on the show after Adam Collard’s return.

The Newcastle-raised personal trainer, 26, enters the Majorcan telly villa as a bombshell contestant tonight — promising to "ruffle a few feathers".

Adam shot to fame in series four and earned a reputation as a heartbreaker and even villain after dumping two girls in quick succession before coupling up with Zara McDermott.

Now The Sun can reveal his shock revival – which is a first for Love Island – has sparked loads of ex Islanders hoping for a similar second spin on the ITV2 show.

"So many of the former cast members have got in touch with ITV begging to come back to the show,” a source said.

“Some are people who were in Casa Amor in previous years, and there are some show legends who are single.

“They're all pitching themselves as the new bombshell who could shake up the villa and leave the cast shocked. The exec's phones and DMs have been going non-stop now ex cast members have realised they could come back to the show."

The Sun has contacted Love Island for comment.

Adam is among Love Island's most divisive and headline-making contestants.

His antics attracted criticism from fans and Women’s Aid.

He was slammed for smirking as Rosie Williams cried following their split which prompted Katie Ghose, then chief executive of Women's Aid, to release a statement highlighting "clear warning signs in Adam's behaviour".

She said Rosie had "called out Adam's unacceptable behaviour on the show" and asked viewers to join her in "recognising unhealthy behaviour in relationships and speaking out against all forms of domestic abuse – emotional as well as physical".

Rosie also addressed Adam's behaviour, later telling the Jeremy Vine Show she thought he had actually been "sort of praised" for his actions after leaving the villa.

She added: "Not by the public – the public were very much on my side. But when it came to work, he very much seemed to have a lot more of the work that came along for being this player."

Adam was dumped on day 32 and in his exit interview said he would not return to Love Island if he had the chance, because he just wanted to see Zara.

The couple reunited days later outside the villa but eventually split in 2019, with Zara moving on to a relationship with Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson.

In a look at tonight’s episode, the muscle-bound trainer wastes no time in getting to no the villa beauties and pulls three girls for a chat.

In a clip ahead of the series, Adam can be seen cracking on with Paige Thorne, 24, Danica Taylor, 21, and Ekin-Su, 27.
