Fan has questions as Caffe Nero puts up painting of 'Barry from EastEnders'

Caffe Nero has caused quite a stir online with some of its artwork, after an EastEnders fan mistook one piece as a painting of Barry Evans (Shaun Williamson).

Car dealer Barry made quite the impact on soap fans over the years, with his bad luck in love and his comedic scenes.

Now though, it seems he may be hanging out on the walls of Caffe Nero.

While visiting a branch of the well-known coffee shop in Islington, Ruth Husko snapped a picture of the artwork and shared it to Twitter, explaining how she had to do a double take to check that it wasn’t the beloved soap character.

Barry was an EastEnders legend, and fans were left devastated when dramatic scenes of his death aired in 2004.

Following his wedding to Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), he found himself tumbling down the side of a cliff after being pushed by his bride, where he hit his head and tragically died.
