Gabby's fury erupts in Emmerdale as Nicky returns to Home Farm
Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) recently issued her former fake bridegroom Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) with a warning in Emmerdale.
‘You are, as far as I’m concerned, a pathetic low-life. And you’d better keep as far away from me as possible,’ she told him. ‘This is just a warning. A threat is when I show you just how uncivilised I can be.’
Gabby’s reaction was unsurprising given that Nicky recently humiliated her on the morning of her wedding day by revealing that he’s gay, he never loved her and he’d only pretended to for the sake of an elaborate scheme dreamed up by his dad Caleb (William Ash) to get revenge on Kim Tate (Claire King).
While Nicky is currently living with Caleb at Mill Cottage, he isn’t welcome at David (Matthew Wolfenden)’s shop, as Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) was quick to make clear, and is not likely to get the warmest of welcomes in most of the village’s other public spaces.
As for private spaces, the last place you would expect him to turn up at the moment is Home Farm, where Gabby lives along with Kim Tate and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews). He’d have to be very brave or very stupid to turn up there, surely?

In coming episodes turning up at Home Farm is exactly what he does, but he hasn’t gone to see Gabby or even Kim.
Before Nicky posed as the future Mr Gabby, he was also posing as a nanny to Gabby’s son Thomas (Bertie Brotherton) and to Dawn (Olivia Bromley)’s children Clemmie (Mabel Addison) and Lucas (Noah Ryan Aspinall). It turns out that while he hated what he was being asked to do at Home Farm, maybe he didn’t entirely hate pretending to be a nanny.
It’s Clemmie’s birthday – and the reason Nicky braves a trip to Home Farm is to bring her a birthday card. Awww. In all of the turmoil of pushing his dad off a ridge and so on, he still remembered the little girl’s birthday.
Is Gabby moved by this show of kindness and warmth?
In a word – no. She turfs him straights back out, furious that he’s dared to ignore her warnings and shown his face at her own home. Later on in the Woolpack she gives him a piece of her mind in front of everyone, and Nicky is left in no doubt that Gabby means to make his life in the village hell.
