LOVE Island newbie George Fensom has been mocked by fans after he made an awkward blunder just minutes into the first episode.
George, 24, admitted that his mum often calls him as a Casanova, which is a term used to describe a man known for seducing women and having many lovers.
But George admitted that he had no idea what the word meant and mistakenly thought it was a type of car.
Chatting to cameras in his introductory VT, he began: "I’m George, I’m 24 years old, I’m a business development executive from Bedford. In a nutshell, it’s just a glorified salesman.’
He went on: "My mum actually calls me a Casanova… I don’t know what that is.
"I thought it was a car."

Many fans were in hysterics after George's admission and raced to Twitter to comment.
One posted: "Omg George is an idiot. I love him. Who doesn’t know what a Casanova is,"
Another wrote: "Imagine bragging about not knowing what a Casanova is."
A third said: "He thought a Casanova was a car, and didn’t think to question why his mum was using it as a nickname for him?"

Last night viewers were left covering their eyes during the launch show thanks to a seriously steamy game.
The 2023 lineup were forced to really get to know each other with the help of the raunchy 'non-alcoholic beer pong' game.
During the game, several of the islanders locked lips for saucy snogs, including Tyrique who snogged Irish stunner Catherine, while Andre locked lips with Ruchee, and Mitchell picked three girls to smooch.
In another game scene, business development exec George Fensom was even made to 'fake an orgasm' in front of his new friends.
Not everyone found that moment sexy, however.
One viewer complained on Twitter: "I need financial compensation for hearing that fake orgasm from George."
Another agreed: "Producers hear me loud and clear. NEVER put that orgasm card in there again!"
In a shock move, Ruchee, 24, and Jess, 22, decided to walk away from their pairs – causing shockwaves and one boy on the brink of tears.
It led to the ending of Ruchee and Mehdi and Jess and George.
Whilst Mehdi insisted he was expecting the pairing to come to an end due to a lack of connection, it appeared that George, 24, was left stunned by Jess' decision.
