Gillian McKeith prepares her hair for the I’m a Celeb jungle

Gillian McKeith was a late arrival for I’m A Celebrity South Africa who surprised the other celebrities with her entrance during the latest episode of the ITV reality series.

The Scottish television personality donned false eyelashes and wore her blonde hair in box braids for her stint on the show, leaving viewers distracted.

Amy Johnson penned on Twitter: “Considering penning a complaint to Ofcom about Gillian McKeith’s hair #ImACeleb.”

Rebecca remarked: “Does Gillian think she’s Katie Price with that hair? #ImACeleb.”

Dom added: “What is Gillian’s hair? She looks like she’s just come back from a holiday in Turkey #ImACeleb.”

Sharon Forbes commented: “Oh dear! Whoever thought that putting Gillian McKeith‘s hair into braids was a good look should step back into the 70s #imaceleb.”

However, Holly insisted: “Gillian has her hair like that so the insects aren’t attracted to it #imaceleb.”

Dan Laurie said: “Obsessed with Gillian McKeith channelling Katie Price’s #imaceleb hairstyle from 2004.”

During the episode, Shaun Ryder got a fright in the night when campmate Fatima Whitbread woke him up from a deep slumber.

She was struggling to sleep due to Shaun’s loud snoring and decided to give him a nudge.

“I thought Fatima had come to assassinate me in the middle of the night,” Shaun told the cameras. “She’d come to tell me to stop snoring.”

According to the bookies, Phil Tufnell still remains the favourite to win this year’s series, with his odds being at 4/1.

Shaun Ryder is closely behind at 6/1 followed by Countdown’s Carol Vorderman at 8/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Helen Flanagan and Shaun Ryder are the standout market movers following the first episode of the series, although it’s still very much Tuffers’ to lose if the latest odds are anything to go by.”

I’m A Celebrity South Africa continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
