Gloria Hunniford, 82, ‘glad her body still functions’ after working since 1969

Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford has praised her body for pushing her through more than 50 years of work.

The TV legend has been in the industry since 1969, starting out in shows like Blankety Blank, now hosted by Bradley Walsh, and Call My Bluff.

Speaking with Lorraine Kelly about her latest body positive campaign, the 82-year-old admitted she was simply happy her "body still functions" and tries not to judge herself too much.

Gloria went on to reveal that she's struggled with her body weight in the past, explaining that she dropped a lot of weight after giving birth.

"When I was young, my standard weight was 7.2 stone and I was 6.10 stone after I gave birth," she told viewers. "Body weight has always been an issue for me."

She added: "I'm all about having the energy in my body to do things I want to do … like working, I'm still doing the job I started in 1969!"
