Good Morning Britain, ITV's early morning news show, received 71 complaints after comments that were made by Andrew Pierce.

The comments were made by British journalist Andrew Pierce during a recent episode of the show.

GMB presenter Susanna Reid was also recently forced to apologise for a comment made by Pierce after he called Matt Hancock a d******d.

During an episode which aired on 2 November, Andrew made the expletive and Susanna was caught off guard.

Susanna was joined by co-star Ed Balls and spoke of the news that the former health secretary will be taking part in the ITV series I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Hancock was suspended from the Tory whip with immediate effect after it had emerged that he had signed up for the show.

Things got heated after Susanna wondered whether she felt sorry for him over the backlash he has received.
