GOOD Morning Britain's Susanna Reid was left 'crying her heart out' after her oldest son headed off to university.
The TV star, 51, and her ex-partner Dominic Cotton share three children together – Jack, 17, Finn, 18, and Sam, 20.
Her eldest son Sam is currently studying at university, which means that he's not living at home with her in south London.
Susanna has been adjusting to Sam not being around.
Speaking to OK magazine about how she's been coping without him, she said: "He’s gone – he’s gone to uni, but he does come back from time to time, which is a total pleasure.
“In fact he came back over the weekend without warning – no head’s up, which was absolute bliss. I absolutely love it.

"You cry your heart out because you know all that regular time with your children is gone and that’s really sad and then it’s dependent on them and their desire to come home.
"Lots of good home cooked food helps.”
Susanna rarely talks about her children, but opened up about how she felt when Sam headed off to university in October 2020.
She told You magazine last year: “Every time I’ve called he’s answered immediately and he’s wanted to talk.

“And I’m filled with love every time, because I think: ‘OK, he’s gone, but he’s not gone gone.
“He still wants to feel that connection."
She added: "The thing I found even more emotional was realising he’s on a string of three.
“When he goes, the next one goes, then the next one.”
Susanna and Sam's dad, her ex Dominic, met back in 1998.
They were together for 16 years, but never got married.
