Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid forced to apologise as guest calls I'm A Celeb's Matt Hancock a 'd***head' | The Sun

GOOD Morning Britain's Susanna Reid has been forced to apologise for bad language on Good Morning Britain.

After ripping into Matt Hancock for his decision to go on I'm A Celeb, regular guest Andrew Pierce said: "You're a complete whatsit-head… you're a d***head. I can say that, can't I?"

Panicked Susanna exclaimed: "No. No, no you can't say that", before turning to the camera and adding: "Apologies".

One viewer said: "Why did Susanna apologise for Ed saying penis? Are we not allowed to make a body part on tv now? It would be different if he said c**k."

Another added: "You’re aloud to say penis on TV Susanna Reid, stop apologising."

"ITV Daytime's having a hard time with swearing lately," said someone else.

A GMB fan remarked: "Susanna's not mincing her words when it comes to Matt Hancock this morning."

Susanna's co-host Ed Balls said on the programme: "You can have a good midlife crisis or a bad mid-life crisis and my view is he's teetering on the brink of a catastrophic one.

"First of all he has to leave his job for an affair, then spent the summer climbing mountains, now he's gone to Australia to eat Kangaroos…"

He was firmly interrupted by Susanna who wanted to make clear he was quoting someone else.

"In the words of the deputy conservative chairman – who declined the invitation to repeat his words – but you will this morning," she said.

Ed continued: "Yes he's looking forward to watching him eat a kangaroo's penis.

"It's one thing to say them, but it's another thing to eat them."

Susanna added: "It's another thing to watch someone eating them."

Matt Hancock has been suspended as a conservative MP for signing up to ITV's flagship entertainment show.

The politician, who had to resign after The Sun exposed him for breaking his own lockdown rules by having an office affair, will be the 12th star to go into the jungle,

According to Betfair's odds, Matt Hancock is 2/1 to break the record of doing the most Bushtucker trials ever if he is voted by the public more than seven times.

He defended his decision to leave his constituents during a cost of living crisis to enter jungle life.

Writing exclusively for The Sun, Matt said: "Some may think I’ve lost my marbles or had one too many drinks, swapping the comfortable surroundings of Westminster and West Suffolk for the extreme conditions of the Australian outback, going where there will be few creature comforts, not enough food, and a load of physical tasks involving snakes, spiders and plenty of other creepy-crawlies.

"While there will undoubtedly be those who think I shouldn’t go, I think it’s a great opportunity to talk directly to people who aren’t always interested in politics, even if they care very much about how our country’s run.

"It’s our job as politicians to go to where the people are — not to sit in ivory towers in Westminster.

"There are many ways to do the job of being an MP. Whether I’m in camp for one day or three weeks, there are very few places people will be able to see a politician as they really are."
