Harry says hes 100% happy King Charles married step-mum Camilla despite pleas

Prince Harry has celebrated his dad's, King Charles III marriage to Camilla, Queen Consort despite former pleas for them not to marry.

During Harry's tell-all ITV interview with Tom Bradby on Sunday (January 8), the Duke of Sussex admitted that he and his brother William initially pleaded with their dad not "to marry" Camilla.

However, in his widely anticipated memoir, Spare, which hits the shelves on Tuesday (January 10), Harry has since shared his delight for the Royal duo, who tied the knot in 2005, as he praised their relationship.

Harry candidly confessed: "William and I wanted our father to be happy, and he seemed to be very, very happy with her."

It comes as Harry addressed several claims in the tell-all interview, including the Royal rift between him and the family.

After being quizzed by Tom, Harry lifted the lid on his opinion on Charles's marriage to his step-mum.

Tom said to Harry: "You say that you, you and your brother didn't want her and your dad to marry, but you say on their wedding day, you were happy for them. I mean, is it really true that you were?"

To which Harry replied: "100%? Um, you know, William and I wanted our father to be happy and he seemed to be very, very happy with her. We asked him not to get married."

He added: "He chose to and that's his decision. But the two of them were and remain very happy together."

Tom replied: "Well, because I mean, not peace with them being happy, but lots of people who might be in your circumstances, whose childhood had played out in the way you have, might not be happy about it and you, I'm just saying, the message of the book seems to be that you are genuinely happy about it?"

Harry added: "Yeah. I think there's probably a lot of people who, after watching the documentary and reading the book, will go, how could you ever forgive your family for what they've done?

"People have already said that to me. And I said, forgiveness is 100% a possibility because I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back.

"At the moment, I don't recognise them, as much as they probably don't recognise me."
