Heartstopper fans rage Netflix drama was 'robbed' at NTAs after being snubbed in all categories | The Sun
FANS of Netflix drama Heartstopper were left raging at last night’s NTAs after the critically-acclaimed drama failed to win in any of the categories it was nominated for.
The heart-warming show debuted on the streaming service earlier this year and stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke, who both received nominations for the Rising Star award at the ceremony.
The show gained a legion of fans earlier this year and Netflix has now confirmed a second season of the show is in the works.
Excited fans were ecstatic to see the show received a nomination for New Drama at last night’s National Television Awards alongside it’s two leading stars gaining individual recognition.
However, fans were left angry and disappointed when the show was dramatically snubbed in all categories.
Vicky McClure’s acclaimed drama Trigger Point picked up the gong for New Drama while Kit and Joe both lost out to Paddy Bever – famed for playing wayward Max Turner in ITV’s Coronation Street.
Outraged fans took to Twitter to slam the glitzy award ceremony.
