Helen Skelton ‘lands new presenting job on Lorraine’ after split from ex husband

Helen Skelton has reportedly landed a massive presenting gig appearing on ITV's Lorraine.

Helen, 39, who split from her Rugby ex-husband Richie Myler earlier this year, is fronting a new ITV segment called Me Time.

According to the outlet, Helen will work alongside Lorraine Kelly and Dr Amir Khan during a segment discussing physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

A source told Daily Mirror: "Helen is more in demand than ever and ITV were delighted to land her."

Speaking about the new Lorraine gig, she said it appealed as she struggled to carve out "me time" for herself.

She said: "I took up golf last year to carve out some me time. Spending time in and among greenery is definitely good for me. Fresh air and good views always make me feel better.

News of Helen's latest ITV gig comes after the mum-of-three was announced to be partaking in this year's Strictly, which kickstarts on September 17.

The Countryfile host has appeared on the show in the past, back in 2012's Christmas Special.

Partnering with Russian professional Artem Chigvintsev, she wowed judges and received a score of 37 out of 40 after performing a Jive to Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas (Is You).

It comes after she was heartbroken earlier this year when rugby league player Richie, 32, ended their eight-year marriage.

Shortly after, it was revealed that he was in a relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, 32.

Announcing the end of the marriage, Helen said: "Very sad to say Richie and I are no longer a couple. We will be doing our best to co-parent."
