Holly Willoughby ‘looking to future’ as host leaves This Morning without goodbye

Holly Willoughby has awkward on-air ‘gimp’ blunder

Holly Willoughby left This Morning for her summer break earlier than expected earlier this month – and it didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.

Holly didn’t say her usual goodbye to her fans and was soon replaced by Friday regulars Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.

However, it has since been reported that Holly will be “thinking about the future” while she takes her extended break from the ITV show.

“She appreciates her family more than ever right now… the last couple of months have been really stressful and it’s highlighted for her the importance of family,” an insider told New! magazine.

“She will be thinking about the future and making sure her family is priority.”

According to the bookmakers’ latest odds, Holly’s break could turn into a permanent departure from This Morning.

Ladbrokes have given odds of 6/4 on the host not returning to the show after the summer.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Holly could well have sat on the This Morning sofa for the last time if the latest odds are anything to go by, with a summer exit looking all the more likely.”

As she closed her final episode with Craig Doyle, Holly didn’t address her break, but simply told viewers: “See you, bye.”

The reports came after fans noticed Holly was missing from the This Morning advert on Tuesday – instead, she was replaced by Alison and Dermot.

Holly’s break from the show also comes after the presenter confirmed her mother-in-law Sandra had died.

Taking to her Instagram account, Holly shared a picture of her mother-in-law along with the caption: “Sleep well Sandra… Nonna, Mother, Sister, friend…

“To know her was to know strength itself… Raising four children after losing her husband, she then lost a son and more recently her sister…
