Hollyoaks cast Neighbours star Jemma Donovan in HUGE new role | The Sun

NEIGHBOURS star Jemma Donovan is joining Hollyoaks as social influencer Rayne.

The Aussie actress – who played Harlow Robinson on the C5 series – will join the show as a party girl who arrives in the village to move in with her childhood best friend.

The character will befriend Romeo (Owen Warner), Prince (Malique Thompson-Dwyer), and Yazz (Haiesha Mistry) when she arrives this autumn.

Jemma tells The Sun: “I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks!

“I’m so grateful for this opportunity to be able to bring something unique and fun to a new role and I can’t wait to be a part of the Hollyoaks family.”

Jemma – whose dad is Neighbours legend Jason Donovan – previously appeared on the Australian soap as ‘psychopath’ Harlow Robinson.

Jemma’s character Harlow quit Erinsborough to move to London just weeks before the soap’s final episode in June this year.

Jemma’s famous dad didn’t ever appear on screen with her, but did return as Scott Robinson, alongside Kylie Minogue as Charlene Mitchell, for the final episode.

A Hollyoaks insider reveals: “Everyone was so pleased when Jemma joined the show. She’s already been to the set and everyone loved her.

“Her character, Rayne, will cause loads of drama when she arrives.”

Hollyoaks airs every weeknight at 7PM on E4, and 6:30PM on Channel 4
