Hollyoaks Peri and Serena romance ‘sealed’ as fans predict Juliet heartbreak

Hollyoaks fans are convinced Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) and Serena Chen-Williams (Emma Lau) will get together.

Peri has recently split up from her ex Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) after she discovered the latter was having an affair with Nadira Valli (Ashling O'Shea).

In recent scenes, Peri has been chatting to Serena and fans of the Channel 4 soap have jumped to the conclusion that the pair may become "girlfriends".

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Serena and Peri would be a good fling and it’d make Juliet jealous."

Another added: "I kinda ship Peri and Serena."

A third person posted: "Peri and Serena becoming friends is good, but now make them girlfriends."

While a fourth social media user said: "Serena and Peri?"

Hollyoaks residents were left gobsmacked earlier this week as Nadira's wedding to Shaq Qureshi (Omar Malik) was stopped by a huge bombshell.

The bride-to-be had fallen in love with her neighbour, Juliet, and had been struggling to come clean about her sexual orientation to her religious family.

Meanwhile, Shaq had unrequited feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Verity Hutchinson (Eva O'Hara), and admitted that he was in love with her the night before his wedding.

Despite this, Shaq and Nadira agreed to get married anyway to please their respective families and where hopeful they could still have a happy life.

However, at the altar Shaq and Nadira realised that they couldn’t go through with the wedding and Juliet took this as her que to announce to the crowd that she was in love with Nadira.

Nadira initially denied Juliet’s claims in an attempt to save face in front of her family and Shaq coverd for her by admitting that the reason they called off the wedding is that he’s in love with someone else.

Nadira finally admitted the truth to her family and, surprisingly, her father is only ashamed that she didn’t feel she could confide in him sooner.

In a shocking twist, Zain Rizwaan (Jonas Khan) praised his girlfriend Misbah Malik (Harvey Virdi) on her strength and passion.

He ceased the day and proposed, and with the encouragement of her family, she said yes and the wedding was back on with a different bride and groom.

Hollyoak snow streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4 followed by first-look episodes at 7pm on E4
