Hollyoaks Theresa quits village in devastating scenes leaving Romeo heartbroken

Hollyoaks favourite Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter) has quit the village.

The blonde bombshell made her decision to leave during Wednesday's (December 7) first-look episode on E4.

She told boyfriend Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) that nothing has been right since she returned in 2020.

In emotional scenes, she shared a final kiss with Romeo before leaving in a black cab but she did suggest that she will be coming back.

The departure storyline facilitates actress Jorgie Porter’s maternity leave.

Jorgie, 33, revealed to her followers in June that she and fiancé Ollie Piotrowski were expecting a baby.

She gave birth to an adorable baby boy last month and has since shared his name is Forest.

The former I'm A Celebrity contestant announced the exciting news on her Instagram page on November 30.

Alongside a picture of the happy parents carrying their bundle of joy out of the hospital, Jorgie wrote: "Welcome to the family…. Our baby boy….Forest."

Jorgie and Ollie got engaged last December during a weekend at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland.

She said at the time: "I couldn't believe what was happening.

"I started crying and so did Ollie. He was so emotional he couldn't get his words out, so we hugged, he put the ring on my finger and then he asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes!"

Ollie's momentous treasure hunt of 12 photo clues documented their love story.

Each image was captioned with a handwritten memory from Ollie, and the final clue led Jorgie to an idyllic lakeside chalet.

Jorgie and Ollie announced in April they were expecting their first child together, which they later confirmed to be a boy.

Ollie also has an eight-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Jorgie conceived after announcing announced she had tragically suffered a miscarriage of quadruplets in 2021.

Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm
