Horrifying scenes as Aaron rapes unconscious Amy in Corrie – then denies it

Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) was subject to a horrifying ordeal as she was raped by Aaron Sandford (James Craven) in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street.

The pair had decided to go to the Bistro for cocktails to celebrate Aaron’s promotion to mechanic at the garage, but all that was thrown off kilter after a row with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby).

Summer had been upset by Aaron’s communication with his ex, and fell out with Amy after the friends exchanged some home truths.

An upset Amy ended up sharing a kiss with Aaron behind Summer’s back, though instantly regretted the decision and demanded that Aaron go and get changed.

Despite all of this, they ended up going to the Bistro, though tensions remained high between the three of them, leading Amy to head home early.

Aaron followed, and the two of them were soon playing drinking games.

It wasn’t long before they had run out of alcohol completely, and a drunk Amy staggered into the bedroom in search of a bottle of Sloe Gin that she had stashed away.

However, things took a turn when she accidentally pulled a chest of drawers on top of her, leaving Aaron to pick her up and help her onto the bed.

They then began to kiss again, with Amy beginning to undress.

It was then that she announced that she wasn’t feeling well, and laid down, before falling asleep.

Despite this, Aaron did not stop his advances, and made the decision to have sex with Amy, despite the fact that she couldn’t consent.

In future episodes, Amy will discover that she has been raped by Aaron, and viewers will follow her journey as she accepts this and struggles to deal with the emotions that come with it.

She is set to be horrified when Aaron denies it, claiming that they were both willing participants.

Claiming that they slept together, he begs Amy not to tell Summer what happened.

Will Amy find the courage to tell people about her ordeal, or will Aaron succeed in keeping her quiet?
