Hostage horror revealed for Manpreet in Emmerdale
Manpreet’s (Rebecca Sarker) hostage horror at the hands of her sister is set to rear its ugly head in Emmerdale, all thanks to Victor (Eddie Osei).
Manpreet was once held captive by murderer Meena for weeks on end before Vinny (Bradley Johnson) and Liam (Jonny McPherson) helped her escape. Now she’ll learn something sinister about Victor that will bring it all back.
It was finally revealed that Charles (Kevin Mathurin) was the one to shop his dad to the police all those years ago and thus destroying his parent’s marriage. Claudette (Flo Wilson) was initially appalled, but later went back into fixing mode to get Charles and Victor on good terms in a foolish bid to save her marriage and rebuild her family.
Charles is still completely unconvinced by his dad’s desire to make things right. Instead, Charles believes Victor to be using the family for financial gain and manipulation, having encouraged Naomi (Karene Peter) to do a bunk from the village despite owing everyone money. He’s not wrong.
But yet, Victor has managed to wangle his way back into the fold by revealing he has an unruptured aneurism. If it looks like a ruse and smells like a ruse, it probably is a ruse. Though Charles has warned him he only has a roof over his head for a few weeks, Victor has no plans on going anywhere.
Victor is still working on Claudette, turning up the charm and reducing her to a giggly schoolgirl, much to Charles’ chagrin.
Manpreet finds Charles with the weight of the world on his shoulders and encourages him to offload, but she’s not prepared to hear what he has to say.
He confesses the truth of what happened between him, Victor, and Claudette, and Manpreet’s jaw hits the floor when she learns Claudette was taken hostage. Manpreet is triggered.
Charles reveals his true fears, that Victor is up to his old tricks. Charles becomes tearful as he shares his concerns for his mum and Manpreet is aghast at the revelations.
But Victor is on a mission and will not waver from it, no matter who gets in his way. He gives Claudette the puppy dog eyes, and Claudette turns on Charles, disgusted that he lied about fixing things.
Charles is forced to put things aside to keep an eye on his mum as Victor continues to worm his way back in. But Victor with clearly up to something dark, is the whole family at risk?
