I received death threats and made out to be a villain as a Casa Amor bombshell

Love Island star Summer Botwe has shared the downsides of being a Casa Amor bombshell.

The 2022 star exclusively chatted to the Daily Star about her time on the show and the struggles of breaking up "solid" couples.

During her time in the villa, Summer managed to turn Dami Hope's head away from Indiyah Polack, though he soon swivelled back upon re-entering the main villa.

Summer explained: "I think when you go into Casa, you are going to be a villain regardless of what happens because you have to break up a couple.

"And with that happening you're already a villain and when you come out things that are said the public will take and twist and change and have their own opinion on it.z

"As a Casa person, we aren't public favourites and unfortunately, the couple I broke up are a very strong couple and have a very big social media presence.

"So, I think the backlash and death threats came from their fans."

She added: "Realistically, those people are just trolls, they haven't even got a profile picture, they have two followers, they don't know where I live. There's not much they can do to me it's just mind over matter half the time.

"They just want a reaction most of the time."

Summer received backlash after she referred to Dami's manhood as a "grower" on a podcast, which resulted in Indiyah and her fans lashing out.

Talking about the moment, she said: "At this point, now I understand both sides, but I think from doing podcasts and things like that after coming out, you have to be careful who you are going on with as people don't always have your best intentions at heart."

"If I slowed down for a minute and could go back and change those things I would but it is all blown over and I'm on a different path now."

But has she heard from Dami and Indiyah since?

She answered: "I saw Dami out once and we said 'hi' but I haven't seen Indiyah or had any contact with her. I'm sure if we see each other there would be no bad blood, and it's been a year since the show so."
