‘I’m A Celeb shower scenes need to return but they’ve been rubbish for years’

I'm A Celeb star Nicola McLean urges the ITV show to bring back shower scenes.

This comes after the all-stars series failed to include them in I'm A Celebrity… South Africa.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Nicola shared her plea to bosses to bring the popular jungle feature back to ITV screens.

When discussing whether she thought the shower scenes would be banned for good now, she ranted: "If they do that, then the world has gone mad, hasn't it?

"If it's gone so PC that they're not going to show people in the shower in I'm a celeb, then we might as well all just quit, as the world has gone mad."

She then added that the shower scenes hadn't been up to par for the last few years, anyways, and claimed that herself and Myleene Klass had the best ones.

"There haven't been great ones for years, they've been a bit rubbish, people have been covering up a lot more, and people are getting towels. Listen, that's your prerogative but it's nice to see people in the shower.

"I think it would take an element out of the show for sure, which would be a shame.

"Myleene was known for having one of the best ones wasn't she, if you didn't remember Myleene doing anything in the jungle, then you would for sure remember her in the white bikini."

Nicola came sixth on the eighth series of the show in 2008 and made the most out of her shower scenes.

She explained: "It was freezing but I knew how to get the air time, so I braved it as I wanted to get on those front pages. And I did, it worked, I had the most press out of all the contestants that year I think.

"It's funny because the bikini which was in all of the newspapers was picked by my husband last minute, I phoned him and said that I'd forgotten to get any and he chose it for me.

"I don't know where it is now though, I wish I had sold it like Myleene. She made £7,500 for hers, I would have taken half of that and pocketed it all."
