A bombshell was dropped on the I’m A Celebrity South Africa campmates when they discovered two people would be leaving the camp for good.

Walking into camp, Dec admitted to Ant: “I’m a bit nervous about this one.”

Ant said: “Yeah, I am, it kind of rocks it a bit…”

Shocking camp, Ant and Dec revealed three celebrities would take part in the first survival Trial of the series and they would each pick another celebrity to do it with them.

The pair that lost the Trial would be leaving camp for good, and it was Gillian and Shaun Ryder.

Addressing some of her most memorable moments in camp, she opened up about her former feud with Happy Mondays star Shaun.

She said: “My time has been fantastic, it’s been the best time of my life. I can’t believe I’m saying that but it’s true.”

Shaun said: “I have come out with a prize, so I have won. I think we have come full circle, now we will have to get married.”

He hugged Gillian as they walked off arm in arm together.

She and Shaun were struggling to unscrew their box as they went up against Andy Whyment and Jordan Banjo, as well as Georgia Toffolo and Phil Tufnell.

When Gillian realised she had to touch a snake, Shaun had to try and reassure her as she refused to put her hand in the box.

Ant and Dec fumed: “At least try!” as she refused to even begin the task.

When asked if he regretted his choice, Shaun said: “Well we are mates now so I can’t s**g my mate off, can I?”

The pair seemed to settle their differences when they took part in a mini-challenge together in order to win a treat for camp.

They appeared to work well together and Shaun even hugged Gillian after they had completed the problem-solving task.

Gillian shared: “Look at the two of us together, getting along and working together so well.”

“It was a surprise, a pleasant surprise,” Gillian added. “We have turned a corner!”
