I'm A Celeb's Paul Burrell reignites off-air feud as Loose Women star hits back at his jungle claims | The Sun

I'M A Celebrity star Paul Burrell has sparked a new feud outside of camp.

The former Royal butler, 64 – who The Sun reported had been dubbed the series' "most controversial" signing in the full line-up – was shot down today by Loose Women favourite Janet Street Porter, 76.

Janet appeared on season four of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here back in 2004 alongside Paul.

During last night's I'm A Celebrity, Paul was talking to Shaun Ryder, 60, about his camp-mates first time around.

When he told how he had shared his jungle experience with the journalist, Shaun gushed: "She's great."

Paul agreed and replied: "She is.

"I think we are sort of friends."

Yet on Tuesday's Loose Women, Janet poured cold water on the suggestion.

As host Ruth Langsford asked if they were pals, Janet mysteriously replied: "When I say the words, myth versus reality."

Ruth suggested the phrase: "Recollections may vary," to which she agreed.

Janet then continued to suggest Paul could work as her very own butler in her home, after denying he had ever visited her house.

She then continued: "It was more a question of tolerating him.

"They thing about Paul is they [the producers] wanted him to talk about being a Royal butler.

"But he didn't want to talk about it.

"I kept getting someone to go to the diary room and saying 'get him to talk about the corgis!'"

This weekend, The Sun reported how Paul was dubbed the "most controversial" campmate in a new survey by BetFair.

The survey placed Paul at sixth in the list of most controversial famous faces on I'm A Celebrity as a whole – but he topped the list of most controversial All Stars participants.

In fact, he was the only star out of the new line-up to make the list at all after more than 2,000 Brits were questioned on their views.

Matt Hancock MP, who starred in I'm A Celeb's regular series last year, topped the general poll.

Paul also polled fifth in the betting website's analysis of the "most iconic" I'm A Celeb moments, with fans citing his previous Hell Holes trial.

Meanwhile Paul recently gave a huge update on his cancer treatment.

He bravely revealed he was suffering with prostate cancer in January.

The late Princess Diana's butler broke down as he opened up on his diagnosis to TV host Lorraine Kelly.

Yet there is much happier news for Paul, who this month told his Instagram fans how he has finished his final course of radiotherapy treatment.

As such, he had the privilege of ringing the bell at The Christie Hospital to signal the end of his time there.

I'm A Celebrity…South Africa continues tonight at 9pm and all this week on ITV1 and ITVX.
