Inside glam lives of Boyzone singers' kids as Jack Keating joins Love Island – from soap actor to reality TV star | The Sun

IF it feels like only yesterday that a young group of Irish heart-throbs shot to pop success with Boyzone, then get ready to feel very old.

Not only are the surviving members heading towards their 50th birthdays, but they now have grown-up children.

Ronan Keating’s son Jack is on Love Island and wasted no time in making it known he's the son of showbiz royalty.

The 23-year-old spoke to Gemma Owen – daughter of England footballer Michael – telling her: "My mum and my little sister are big into show jumping. I know you're big into it as well."

Naturally, Gemma then wanted to know what Jack's dad does and if he's well known.

Jack replied: "Yeah he is. You know Ronan Keating? That's the old man." But what else are the Boyzone kids up to? We take a look.

Jack Keating

Jack is Ronan Keating’s oldest child with his ex wife, model Yvonne Connolly.

The pair, who were married for 12 years and had three children, split in 2010 after Ronan, 45, had a seven-month affair with Boyzone backing dancer Francine Cornell.

After their divorce Yvonne said she was "really proud" of how her kids had handled it, adding that they were "very aware" of the circumstances.

LET'S TALK ABOUT…

Love Island fans all say the same thing as stars reveal their sex faces

Jack, 23, works in social media marketing and lives in London. He and his siblings Missy and  Ali grew up mainly in Malahide, County Dublin.

He said his famous dad “will be watching for sure,” adding: “He’s buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates.”

Ronan posted two pictures on Instagram when Jack entered Casa Amor, one of himself in Boyzone and one of his mini-me son, with the caption: “Which one’s Jack!!! Then and now @loveisland.”

The singer married Yvonne when he was just 21 and has reportedly told his son to wait until he's in his 30s to settle down.

Ronan also has two children with his second wife, model Storm Uechtritz.

Missy Keating

Like her siblings, Missy – born Marie – spent her childhood following Boyzone around on tour.

She remembers, aged eight, being at London’s O2 arena when the crowd sang Happy Birthday to her.

Now she works as a model and actress, and splits her time between London and Dublin. She loves designer clobber but also posts paid adverts for budget fashion company PrettyLittleThing.

She clearly adores her famous father. Last month, for Father’s Day, she posted on Instagram: “I am who I am because you taught me who to be. Your work ethic, generosity, humour and heart are things I admire you for every day.”

Reality shows

Missy has inherited her dad's musical talent. She plays the guitar in music duo GGMK with her pal Georgia Gaffney, who plays the piano, and appeared on BBC's talent show The Voice in 2019.

Earlier this year, Missy appeared on Irish TV’s Dancing With the Stars, partnered with pro dancer Ervinas Merfeldas.

Sadly she was eliminated in the first dance off of the competition and although emotional at leaving the show, she added: “Well at least I’m going out to party now.”

Interestingly, rumours swirled earlier this year that Missy was due to appear on Love Island. So who knows, maybe we’ll see a Keating double act on the show.

Ali Keating

The youngest of Ronan and Yvonne's children, Ali turned sweet 16 last September.

Her mum posted on social media to mark the milestone: "Happy sweet 16th to the funniest, brightest and toughest girl I know. I’m so proud of you Al. Have a great birthday."

Her dad added his own tribute along with a gallery of pictures, telling her: "Happy birthday baby girl. Sweet 16 you are growing way too fast. Love who you are. Keep on track and stick to the plan. Love ya, dad."

Ali is a keen competitive horse rider. In 2018, her mum revealed she had broken bones after a fall from a horse.

Jay Duffy

Keith Duffy’s first child, Jordan – shortened to Jay – came along in 1996, two years before his parents married in Vegas. Keith proposed to Lisa Smith on June 22, 1998, and two days later they got hitched in Sin City.

Jay, now 26, made a memorable appearance on Irish TV’s The Late Late Show as a toddler, when he covered his ears to block out the loud noise.

Keith spent nine years on Coronation Street, from 2002 to 2011, and Jordan has followed in his dad’s footsteps by becoming an actor.

I’m proud to be Keith Duffy’s son… But you know, that’s not to say it doesn’t come with a little baggage

He spent a year on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, had a small part in Vikings and appeared in the hugely popular Derry Girls.

He said: "I’m proud to be Keith Duffy’s son. I’m happy to talk about him at every opportunity. But you know, that’s not to say it doesn’t come with a little baggage."

In March Keith revealed his lad has landed a part on the “biggest streaming show in the world”.

He refused to name it but added: “Next year I think he’ll blow up in America.”

Mia Duffy

Keith and Lisa’s second child is now 22. She was diagnosed with moderate autism just before she turned two years old.

As a result, Keith is a big supporter of autism charities, as well as founding his own Keith Duffy Foundation, and has campaigned for better support for autistic children.

Despite her diagnosis, Mia has flourished and is currently in her final year at university studying enterprise computing and has landed a job with a prestigious US company.

Keith said earlier this year: “She’s doing wonderful – we’re very very proud of her.

"Mia’s very determined. She puts a lot of pressure on herself but she achieves a great amount and that was all down to appropriate intervention at the right stage of her life, which we had to fight hand over tooth for, but we got there.”

Hannah and Sienna Graham

Mikey Graham, 49, has one daughter, Hannah, 25, with his ex-girlfriend Sharon Keane, who he split from in 1996.

In March, Mikey shared the exciting news that he has become the first Boyzone member to become a grandad.

He wrote on Twitter: "Life has been nothing but wonderful to me the last three weeks since the birth of my absolutely stunning beautiful granddaughter Bonnie."

Mikey, who is very private but felt compelled to share the happy news, added: "Think I might possibly be the first boyband grandad even going back as far as the New Kids on the Block. Someone else can fact check that one."

In 2010, Mikey revealed Hannah – then 14 – was a talented musician but he was trying to encourage her to go into dentistry.

The singer is also dad to Sienna, 16, with his wife Karen Corradi.

He started dating Karen in 1999, after she worked as a backing dancer with Boyzone, and the pair married in 2004.

He posted a sweet picture of both girls in 2018, calling them his "biggest achievement in life."

Billie Rae and Marley Mae Lynch

Shane Lynch, 45, married his second wife, Real Housewives of Cheshire star Sheena White, in August 2007.

They are parents to two girls, Billie Rae, 13, and Marley Mae, nine.

Sheena, who appears on the ITVbe reality show, recently confessed their 14-year marriage nearly ended due to lockdown.

She said the singer moved out of the family home for a couple of months during the height of the pandemic.

She said: “There was no shouting or screaming but we made a really adult decision that we needed to take some time out."

The family moved from London to posh Cheshire in 2019, where they rub shoulders with footballers and their wives.
