Inside Vernon Kay's glamorous life with Tess Daly | The Sun

VERNON Kay is about to take over a new BBC Radio 2 show from Ken Bruce.

He's best known for presenting huge shows on ITV such as Family Fortunes, Splash! and 1000 Heartbeats.

But away from his work on TV and Radio, Vernon, 48, shares a happy home life with his wife, fellow TV presenter Tess Daly, 53.

The pair first married in September of 2003 in the town of Horwich in Bolton and they recently celebrated 20 years of Valentines Day together.

Earlier this month, Vernon paid tribute to his wife as he posted a series of romantic selfies.

The pair beamed as they could be seen enjoying various concerts as well as soaking up the sun on holiday.

They have jetted off to exotic locations together which include Ibiza, The South of France as well as Greece.

He took to social media as he captioned the album: "It’s 20yrs! Valentines."

Together, they share two teenage daughters, Phoebe, 18, and 13-year-old Amber.

It seems the quartet are very close as Vernon recently took to social media on his eldest daughter's 18th birthday.

Phoebe is the image of her mother as Vernon gushed when he posted a lookalike photo on Instagram: "The happiest Dad in the world.😍😍🥰🥰.

"Where did the time go? Our little Phoebe is 18 today! 🥹🥳 wishing you the happiest birthday!

"We are so proud of you and can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you ❤️ Love you to the moon & back."

The couple are regularly seen enjoying each other's company as they spend time plenty of time together away from their busy jobs.

Tess previously revealed on Instagram that she enjoys taking strolls on Sunday with her husband as she sarcastically joked how much he loves shopping.

Although it seems the pair are usually inseparable, when they do have to work, both Tess and Vernon are incredibly supportive of each other's respective careers.

Tess previously revealed that she sobbed watching hubby Vernon Kay suffer in the I’m A Celebrity castle.

The couple were out of contact for five weeks — but she said their enforced separation made them appreciate each other more than ever before.

She said at the time: "Every time he welled up on the TV, I would find myself welling up because I felt like I was going through it with him.

"I mean I was fed and never cold — but he slept on the floor for two and a half weeks, which the edit didn’t show, because he didn’t fit in the beds.

"So whenever he welled up, I felt like I was going through it with him.”

Tess in turn, may spend many Saturday nights presenting Strictly Come Dancing during the year, however Vernon is nothing but supportive of his wife.

"As far as prime time entertainment shows go, Claudia and Tess really broke the mould.

"I think that’s something that both of them are really proud of — and long may it continue."

"Tess started the show in its infancy — its first ever series when it was just a wee baby.

“Then we had our first baby and subsequently we had Amber, so we’ve grown up with it as like a family member."

He added: "Because Tess is hosting such a big show — the biggest entertainment show on the Beeb — we have to embrace it because it’s become such a pivotal part of our lives."

This comes after the Sun revealed the presenter is to replace Ken Bruce on his legendary BBC Radio 2 show.
