ITV bosses are reportedly reviewing Amir Khan's appearance on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

The star competed in the special edition All Stars instalment of the competition titled I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here: South Africa which is set to air later in April.

Amir, 36, last entered the jungle when he competed in the seventeenth instalment of the reality endurance competition back in 2017, under acrimonious circumstances.

The boxer lied to his fellow campmates after he and former talkRADIO presenter Iain Lee tucked into a plate of strawberries after winning a Dingo Dollar Challenge, instead of sharing them with campmates.

But following his controversial ban from sporting activities for two years after he failed doping tests, bosses are reportedly concerned about Amir's appearance over fears of awkward viewing.

An industry source told The Mirror: "This news will have led to discussions internally, it may mean he is featured slightly less prominently or a conversation around camp is now more relevant or revealing.

'But it really depends a lot on what happened in the jungle. The timing of news of this ban is not ideal for ITV."

It was previously revealed that Amir had been given a ban of two years from all sports after he tested positive for Ostarine.

He was charged with two anti-doping rule violations in July of 2022 following his grudge match defeat last year.

The substance is thought to have similar effects as testosterone and it could help with muscle growth, but the reality star maintained the ingestion was not intentional.

Reacting to the verdict, Amir said: "I’ve never cheated. Also, the amount that was in my system could have been by shaking people’s hands."

Amir is set to enter the special safari camp alongside a star studded list of names, which include Carol Voderman, Helen Flanagan, Paul Burrell and Janice Dickinson.
