Juliet reunites with Peri in Hollyoaks after major cancer shock

Juliet Nightingale’s (Niamh Blackshaw) sought comfort in Peri Lomax’s (Ruby O’Donnell) arms in Hollyoaks after learning that she might have cancer.

The popular character, as fans know, has been feeling under the weather in recent episodes, suffering from profound tiredness and being repeatedly sick, much to the concern of Nadira Valli (Ashling O’Shea).

Determined to find out what is that’s wrong, Juliet took a trip to the hospital in Monday’s (November 2) first look offering of the Channel 4 soap, with Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) deciding to run some tests.

Peri was drafted in to take her blood pressure and check her heartbeat, and the chemistry was aplenty between the two, as they locked eyes on multiple occasions.

Misbah, meanwhile, recommended that Juliet stay put until the results – which she had fast-tracked – came back, but Juliet was determined to make it to the lunch with Nadira’s dad, knowing how much the get-together meant to her girlfriend.

Misbah, however, was insistent – which left Jules concerned.

Subsequent scenes saw the doctor explain to Juliet that she will need a biopsy, revealing that she’s concerned that she might have cancer.

Juliet’s world came crashing down and, unable to process the information, she left the hospital in emotional scenes, before making a phone call, begging the person on the other end of the call to meet with her – because she needed them.

The person in question? Why, it was none other than Peri, of course, who came as soon as she got the message.

Juliet was evidently on the cusp of explaining why she summoned her ex, but Peri jumped to conclusions, assuming Jules had brought her over to confess her feelings.

‘I know’, she said. ‘I love you too!’.

Before Juliet had a chance to process what was happening, Peri walked towards her and kissed her – a kiss which Juliet reciprocated.

It’s clear that Peri is still very much the one who Juliet regards as her soulmate, and this kiss – which is the second in recent weeks – could suggest that a full-time reunion is on the cards for the couple.

But will Juliet reveal all about her cancer discovery? What’s more, will the biopsy reveal her worst fears?

Hollyoaks continues Tuesday November 29 at 7pm on E4, or stream the next episode from midnight on All4.
