Killer Stephen issues a dark warning to Jenny in Coronation Street
Serial murderer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) has issued a dark warning to Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) in recent Coronation Street scenes, after noticing her getting close to client Owen.
Owen first set his sights on Jenny during a business meeting with Stephen at the Rovers, and began flirting almost instantly.
Since then, the pair have been casually talking, with Owen deliberately turning up on the Street to see her.
However, it is clear that Stephen has taken umbrage to their relationship, and took drastic efforts to make sure it doesn’t go any further.
Arriving at the Rovers, Stephen revealed that he needed to talk to Jenny, and pointed out that it was impossible not to notice how close she was getting to Owen.
When Jenny revealed that it was nothing serious, Stephen was relieved, and warned her that he wasn’t ‘what you’d call loyal’.
Jenny seemed disappointed as Stephen labelled him a ‘sleazebag’, before informing her that he doesn’t want to see her get hurt.
She reluctantly thanked him for letting her know, and promised not to tell Owen what Stephen had said to her.
While some may argue that Stephen was simply being a good friend, it’s hard to believe that he would do anything simply from the goodness of his heart.
It has become clear over the past few months that he is a wrong ‘un through and through, having defrauded his own mother, drugged Carla Barlow (Alison King) to gain control of the factory, and, not to mention, killed three people.
With his accusations about Owen coming seemingly from nowhere, does he have an ulterior motive to splitting these two up?
Before agreeing to marry Elaine (Paula Wilcox), Stephen had a brief fling with Jenny.
Could Stephen have set his sights on her once more?
