Kirsty struggles with loneliness in Doctors as Ollie and Rich leave

The week gets off to an emotional start for Kirsty (Kiruna Stamell) in Doctors as Rich (Richard Atwill) finally makes good on his promise to move out. He apologises for mishandling the Ollie situation, an assessment Kirsty agrees with.

Despite being on at Rich to leave for weeks, she is shocked by the reality of him actually going. To make matters worse, Ollie (Isaac Benn) phones and angrily blames her for the split.

Later, Karen (Jan Pearson) is annoyed because Rob (Chris Walker) has had to cancel their evening together because of work. She decides to invite Kirsty over instead. Before she goes, Ruhma (Barti Patel) cheekily warns her to eat something else before she goes as Karen is a terrible cook.

In the end, Kirsty is relieved to find Karen has ordered a Thai takeaway for them both to eat. She is very impressed with Karen’s home, which, of course, she and Rob are planning to sell soon.

The two get on well, but Karen can sense something is wrong. In the end, Kirsty spills the beans about Rich leaving her and Ollie wanting to returning home from the army.

They have a pleasant evening together but when Rob returns, Kirsty take this as her cue to leave. Kirsty returns to an empty house. She worries about the future: can she go through with this?
